Future of Crowd Work weekly report w. 46.

Last week we received good feedback from the panel during mid-crit. It seems like we are on the right track with our idea, but the human aspect is something we also need to consider.
Our presentation had a well described scenario, but we didn't really go into detail about what had caused the society we described. It might be a good idea to explain what led up to it, in the case where we choose Stockholm for example. The panel also said that we don’t have to go into detail about everything, instead we can just assume certain things.

We have been thinking about what resources to use for further investigation of the project idea and what resources are good for backing up the argument in the book chapter. We have also been thinking about how, or in what form, we are to present our idea. We think we want to emphasize the storytelling part to engage the readers further and bring them into our dystopian world of the future. The book chapter could be presented as a near future article depicting the future scenario as a reality about to happen. Thus mixing future scenario description (2029) with argumentation relying on fictitious technology (~2016) based in our resources. Or simply a present day article strongly committed to the idea that this will happen (typical technology deterministic, "wow, look at what the future will bring"-article) mixing the current techs and trends (2014) with future scenario (2029).

We have discussed what the presentation will look like and what we will do. We have chosen to do a movie and this week we have started to plan the storyboard for the movie. At the moment we have two different concept ideas, but we might wait with the final decision about the concept until later. Since the presentation and the final project have to be the foundation for the movie concept, and this is something that might change during the next weeks.
